Csepel Folk Dance Ensemble
Csepel Dance Ensemble’s mission today is to cultivate a love for tradition among young people living in the region. They aim to enrich and diversify the cultural life of Csepel district (Budapest, Hungary) and its surroundings.
The ensemble is not only a cultural gem in the district but also in South Budapest, as they have the richest history dedicated to Hungarian folk dance in the region.
The ensemble celebrated its 65. anniversary in 2023, and they needed help designing a T-shirt for the upcoming event. (Single colours, red and blue)
They wanted to take a modern approach with elements that resonate well with their rich history, so I decided to use a high-contrast serif typeface combined with a traditional Hungarian embroidery pattern.
